IZTECH is being decorated with Flowers and Plants
The natural vegetation of IYTE Campus is enriched with various trees and flowers carefully grown in greenhouses. All of the plants used for landscaping on the campus are provided from tree saplings and flowers grown in greenhouses on İYTE land.
Meeting with the workers working in greenhouses on the occasion of the Forest Week, Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran received information about the trees and flowers grown. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Serdar Kale, Deputy Dean of Engineering Faculty Prof. Dr. Rector Baran, who had breakfast with the workers during the visit, which was also attended by Mustafa M. Demir and Secretary General Barış Alamdar, emphasized that the work done here for İYTE is an important effort that will leave a mark for future generations.
300 Cypress Plants to IYTE
300 cypress trees were planted on the campus land due to the 21st March Nevruz Festival and Forest Week that herald the arrival of spring. In the sapling planting event organized with the contributions of the Provincial Directorate of Forestry, the first life waters were given to the saplings with the participation of IYTE’s academic and administrative staff as well as international students. Rector Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran reiterated his determination to work for a greener nature in the sapling planting event.
