Dear Valuable Members of our Institute,

Welcome to our Sustainable Green Campus website!

Through the “Institutional Growth” axis of the 2014-2018 Strategic Plan; to maintain “Sustainable Use of Campus Resources” and define the ways to related strategies and the route to follow to reach “Sustainable Green Campus”, the search meeting was held on the 30th of April 2014.

With a focus on;

–Technical (Campus hazardous waste management and organizational structure, campus waste management-recycle, reduction of electric use, energy efficiency, renewable energy use, water resource management)

–Design (construction/landscape design, efficient use of resources)

–Social life (happy life)

dimensions, the Coordinate of IZTECH Sustainable Green Campus search conference was held on the 15th of July 2014. We are thankful to the dearest coordinators and team members who have worked for this coordinate between 2014 and 2019.

We headed to the road and prepared our institutional ethical principles and directives with broad participation in the body of Coordinate of IZTECH Sustainable Green Campus with the motto of “happy campus, happy peninsula, happy city”.

In the light of ethical principles and directives, we created our roadmap and activity plan. In this context, first, we started some activities in order to dream and structure the living campus.

-The first step of these activities are the seminars, which aim to create awareness. The objectives of our seminars are reviewing themes and topics about sustainability, brainstorming about our studies, learning from each other, and triggering to produce for the future, especially under the new flu experiences created by the Covid-19 Pandemics.

-IZTECH Instagram photograph competition is made to raise attention to sustainability in the pandemic era, for college students.

-On the international scale, we are in the application process for the Green Metric evaluation platform, which can raise the sustainability levels of our campus. Our aim is to become one of the green and sustainable campuses and carry our success to international platforms.
